I participated as guest vendor at the 2008 Overbrook Oktoberfest.  These are few pictures from that event.
(This will be a temporary page and will be removed in about two weeks.)
Please contact me if you have questions, wish to buy a print
or wish permission to reproduce or otherwise use any of the following photographs.
Also, these photographs were downsized and then converted to bitmap files from the the original JPG files and then back to JPG for this web page -- printing from this size from this web page may not provide satisfactory results.  For example, the file size for the cattail image on this page is 798kb, my original photograph for that image is a 4.3 MB file.)

Generally the sky was bright blue with puffy clouds and very little wind, yet there was a pleasant late September breeze.

Many vendors were there, waiting for possible patrons.

Just e-mail me with your print request.  See the Ordering and Payment web page for additional details.

And the Schuhplattler Verein Dancers were there from the Kansas City area.
(if you wish to use one of these photos, please be sure to contact the Schuhplattler Verein Dancers for their permission)
Look closely at the dresses.  During their lively dance steps those dresses take on their twirling bell shape . . .

NOTE:  The motion blur in several of the following photographs was intentional.  These were taken
without using a flash.  This is intended to show how fast these dancers were moving.

For the final photograph for this web page, here is the Cannas Lilly Barn that is just east of the fair grounds on the north side of the highway:

***Gee, I wish I would have taken this photo when the clouds were in the deep blue sky!  Goes to show how it is important to be at the right place at the right time.

All photographs on this page were taken by Bob Hayes, using a Canon Rebel Xti camera with various lenses.  Each photo was taken without the benefit of a tripod.
